in our media task we had to replicate a scene from napoleon dynamite, shot to shot with a mix of long shots and close ups which included zooms and eye-match camera work. the aim of the task was to get used to filming like an actual film crew with action and cuts, changing shot angles and making sure we got fine footage to edit which was the second part of the process to use our new found skills and apply them to our footage.
-original footage-
next after watching the original footage we copied shot by shot the scene onto story board for reference later when filming. in the story board we drew images looking like the shot and also wrote information about the shot e.g speech, movement and emotion. the drawings were rather useful when shooting and we got good footage from it however the text information have been more useful because in early areas of the story board i put less information not getting the gist of it and other areas where lacking import information like angles and timing within shots but in i was proud of the work we made seeming it was our first piece.
the filming process was fun i found but at the same time very difficult getting shots right and how we wanted them, due to noise and angles and timings and other elements.
in our group we used my documents because it was the most useful and had the most information,
other problems we faced was communication within the group and caused many retakes, in the end we took when only needed 17, next time I would wish to choose my own team to work with to produce high quality work. if I would re-shoot the scene i would gather more information first about it with finer details.

shot 3 in the scene could have been better by having the camera at a better place so the hips were in shot however it was closer then that and was missing the proper look.
another shot would be shot 6 were my fellow crew member was meant to lean out to hand me the paper first however due to misdirection I had to improvise and i put my hand out for the paper which was not in the original scene.
and another shot was shot 11 where it was a close up of Katy (Pedro) the issue was the camera was at the wrong angle and was too close to her face and it was rather windy so the shot was rough all round.
My last shot i would choose is shot 17 were i was shot at a close up but it was too low of an angle and the body shot was all wrong missing out loads of my torso.
